Students were expected to share their expertise on the U.S. Constitution, how it has evolved throughout time, as well as the impact that it has on citizens today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"550\" height=\"358\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/WeThePeople_Photo_24.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-175506\"\/><figcaption>Van Wert finished as state runner-up in the &#8220;We the People&#8221; competition. <em>Photo submitted<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition is hosted by the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education, with seven different schools participating from throughout the state. Van Wert High School was able to finish as the state runner-up with a second place finish.
