{"id":181323,"date":"2024-07-12T05:57:06","date_gmt":"2024-07-12T10:57:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=181323"},"modified":"2024-07-12T05:57:45","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T10:57:45","slug":"man-critically-injured-in-motorcycle-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2024\/07\/12\/man-critically-injured-in-motorcycle-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Man critically injured in motorcycle crash"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent staff\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PAULDING \u2014 \u00a0The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway\u00a0Patrol is investigating a\u00a0serious injury\u00a0crash that occurred on County Road 179\u00a0south\u00a0of TR10\u00a0in Paulding County\u2019s Auglaize\u00a0Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It occurred at approximately\u00a09:48\u00a0p.m. Thursday. Scott Kirkland Jr., 26, of Paulding was northbound on County Road 179 on a 1984 Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. \u00a0His passenger, Allen Kline, 34, of Paulding was seated\u00a0in the rear.  The highway patrol said Kirkland went off the right side of the roadway, causing the\u00a0motorcycle to\u00a0overturn. \u00a0Kline was lifeflighted\u00a0to Parkview Regional in Fort Wayne with\u00a0critical injuries.
