Brandon Alan Heath, 21, of Decatur, Ind., died at 12:19 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., from injuries received in a car-pedestrian accident on December 24.<\/p>\n
He was born April 27, 1990, in Van Wert, the son of Douglass W. Heath of Van Wert and Cheri Goodwin of Decatur.<\/p>\n
Other survivors include his stepmother, Beth Heath of Van Wert; grandparents Cheryl Matthews of Van Wert, Randy and Belinda Goodwin of Michigan, Charlie and Linda Heath of Van Wert, Doris Struzik of Van Wert and Rick Matthews of Van Wert; great-grandparents Joyce Joanne Putman (Arland) Burke of Payne and Mary Lou Goodwin of Van Wert; a brother, Dustin W. Heath of Celina; two stepsisters, Shawna Mergy and Mandi Fuerst, both of Van Wert; and a nephew.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday January 3, 2012, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.<\/strong><\/p>\n Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Monday, January 2, and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.<\/strong><\/p>\n Preferred memorials: Van Wert Special Olympics.<\/p>\n
