On\u00a0Saturday, May 10, the Van Wert County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was dispatched to assist the\u00a0Van Wert\u00a0Fire Department at a house fire on McKinley St. in Van Wert. CERT is working to raise support for the family. After meeting with the family it is determined that clothing and monetary donations are needed.

Please include Case No. 9076 with your donation so CERT can ensure it is distributed to the correct family.

Adult male: pants – 32×32; shirts – medium; shoes – 9.5
Adult female: pants – medium (10-11); shirts – medium; shoes – 8
Minor male: pants – large; shirts – medium; shoes – 11.5
Minor female: pants – 4T; shirts – 4T; shoes – child 9
Infant female: newborn\/0-3 months; clothes, infant socks, car seat, crib

Donations for the fire victims should be taken to the following locations based on the contents:

Larger appliances and furniture:<\/strong>

Business Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some appliances may not be needed, in the event that CERT cannot accept your donation, you may be asked to return to pick up your items as storage space is low.
 
Donations will be collected until May 17. <\/strong>
 
Monetary donations can be dropped off or sent to Van Wert County Foundation\/CERT, 138 E. Main St., Van Wert. Please include Case No. 9076 in the memo. 
 
Donations can also be made online at vanwertcountyfoundation.org<\/a> by clicking \u2018Donate\u2019 and selecting the \u2018Van Wert EMA\/CERT Fund’ and include Case No. 9076 in the Donation Note.
