Military members and their spouses can use as many of these services as they would like, on their own or with help from an employment specialist.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At either the website or any local OhioMeansJobs Center, military members and their spouses can get help:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Translating their military skills into a civilian resume<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating a transition plan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connecting with military-friendly employers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applying for jobs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enrolling in workshops and trainings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learning about federal and state benefits they may be eligible for<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exploring new careers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, veterans can log in or create a free account on <a href=\"https:\/\/OhioMeansVeteranJobs.com\">OhioMeansVeteranJobs.com<\/a>. When they do, they will be prompted to answer a brief questionnaire asking if they\u2019d like to be contacted by an employment specialist. If they indicate that they would like one-on-one assistance, an employment specialist will contact them. If they decline to be contacted, they can continue accessing free employment services on their own on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ohio has more than 8,300 employers listed in its \u201cMilitary-Friendly Employer Registry\u201d at OhioMeansVeteranJobs.com.
