A mother, a father, a child, a friend \u2013 each life deeply loved and never forgotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, Tri County ADAMHS Board, along with a team of community members and organizations, invites everyone to come together for the first annual HOPE Walk \u2014 a powerful event to remember lives lost to addiction and suicide, support those still fighting, and celebrate every person walking the courageous path of recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"145\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Tri-County-ADAMHS-logo-2025-copy.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-196072\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The walk will take place from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, August 31,at Fountain Park in Van Wert, marking the end of Overdose Awareness Month and leading into Recovery Month and Suicide Prevention Month \u2014 a time when grief, healing, and hope come together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heartfelt guest speakers sharing stories of loss, love, and resilience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Memorial photo displays honoring cherished loved ones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resource booths to connect individuals and families with support and healing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free Narcan distribution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fun, family-friendly activities to bring light and connection to a heavy but hopeful day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe walk for those we\u2019ve lost, for those still fighting, and for those who continue to choose recovery every day,\u201d said a representative from Tri County ADAMHS. \u201cTri County, together with a team of community members, believes that no one should have to face these struggles alone and that every step we take together is a step toward hope and healing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All are welcome, whether you come to honor someone you love, support a friend, or simply stand in solidarity with those affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, to submit a memorial photo or to register as a vendor, contact <a href=\"mailto:info@tricountyadamhs.org\">info@tricountyadamhs.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent staff\/submitted information Behind every statistic is a story.
