Eaton recently presented Van Wert County Hospital with a $50,000 check as the final installment on their $200,000 pledge in support of the Emergency Services Department expansion project. \u00a0“We are extremely grateful for Eaton’s continued support and generosity,” says Mark Minick, Van Wert Hospital President\/CEO.<\/p>\n

“Eaton is proud to support projects that create a healthy community,” said Carey Welker, plant manager, Eaton’s Van Wert facility. “We continue to encourage community involvement.”<\/p>\n

The Emergency Services Department was completed in June 2010. \u00a0This 12,000 square-foot expansion, designed with the patient in mind, added 11 private emergency rooms, a secluded triage area and a covered entrance.<\/p>\n

The Emergency Services Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and staffed by board certified physicians. \u00a0The staff treats emergencies ranging from minor to major trauma. Since opening, the Emergency Services Department has cared for nearly 16,000 patients.<\/p>\n
