{"id":199983,"date":"2025-11-29T00:28:37","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T05:28:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=199983"},"modified":"2025-11-29T00:28:38","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T05:28:38","slug":"lights-for-lives-campaign-a-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2025\/11\/29\/lights-for-lives-campaign-a-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Lights for Lives campaign a success"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent staff\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participating agencies said the 12th annual &#8220;Lights for Lives&#8221; was a successful operation once again, showing what can be accomplished by law enforcement working cooperatively in a multi-agency, multi\u00ad jurisdictional effort. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"173\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Lights-for-Lives-logo-11-2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-109974\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In the spirit of collaboration, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Findlay District, worked with law enforcement agencies in Williams, Fulton, Lucas, Defiance, Henry, Wood, Putnam, Paulding, Hancock, Van Wert, Allen, and Hardin counties participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lights for Lives<strong> <\/strong>is a multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional, cooperative enforcement campaign focused on officers activating their overhead lights and stopping as many vehicles that have committed traffic violations to save as many lives as possible. It began at 6 a.m. November 24 and ran through 6 a.m. November 26, which kicked off the holiday driving season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 48-hour operation, officers reported stopping nearly 700 vehicles and issued 230<strong> <\/strong>citations.
