{"id":201529,"date":"2026-01-13T21:43:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T02:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=201529"},"modified":"2026-01-13T21:43:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T02:43:16","slug":"grant-benefits-summer-food-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2026\/01\/13\/grant-benefits-summer-food-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Grant benefits Summer Food Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>VW independent staff\/submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The YWCA of Van Wert County\u2019s 2026 Summer Food Program has received a substantial boost, thanks to a $10,000 grant from the Van Wert County Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Summer Food Program will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 8-July 24 at Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert. It\u2019s open to all children in Van Wert County who are five years old through sixth grade. Registration for the program will open in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the summer program, the YWCA will provide free meals to any community member ages 18 and under who may need a meal during the summer.
