(Buckeye Youth photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The event is a nationwide tribute to disabled veterans, as many groups, organizations, and non-profit youth groups gather to make valentines.\u00a0Buckeye Youth&#8217;s\u00a0valentines are distributed to the disabled veterans at the Veterans Administration hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.<\/p>\n<p>A color guard was present to recite \u201cThe Pledge of Allegiance\u201d with the group and demonstrate a drill.\u00a0John Wiley\u00a0explained the history of the United States flag to the group and a read a poem about the flag.\u00a0 Those present in the color guard were VFW members Arnie Baker and Wiley\u00a0and American Legion members Kent Long, Gary Fiegel and Michelle Klutka, with Wiley also holding a Legion membership.<\/p>\n<p>Buckeye Youth appreciates all of those present and their help with this event.<\/p>\n<p>Buckeye Youth is a United Way Agency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Buckeye Youth members recently met at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 to make Valentines for Veterans.
