Students from the Lincolnview band performed at the annual District III Solo and Ensemble festival on January 28, which took place at St. Mary’s Memorial High School. All students received a rating of I or II. The students that participated were: Karissa Burns, Stephanie Longwell, Michael Garay, Bryce Campbell, Danielle Dasher, Rachael Bidlack, Sarah Riley, and Alex Campbell. Alexandra Kleman also performed a piano solo for which she earned a I rating as well.<\/p>\n

The Lincolnview Junior High Student Council has been active over the past two months. In December, the council hosted its first Kids' Night Out. More than 30 students in grades K-6 attended and enjoyed activities such as games, movies, snacks, and crafts. The money raised was combined with another fundraiser that involved a competition between the staff and council members and was used to benefit Lincolnview families at Christmas time. Most recently, the council held one of two cake raffles.\u00a0 They would like to thank all of the 7th grade students who contributed such creative and yummy baked goods.\u00a0 They tempted the fans on FAN night and made it the most successful cake raffle yet.\u00a0 The next cake raffle will be on February 17 during the homecoming game.\u00a0 The 8th grade students will be asked to donate items for that date.<\/p>\n

The junior high yearbook will be on sale one final time this year during the week<\/em> of February 14-17<\/p>\n

In January, the council put on its winter pep assembly to support the winter teams. The class of 2016 was the winner of the spirit lance and Hayden Ludwig was the winner of the activity, which earned him the honor of putting a pie in the face of Principal Kelly Dye.
