It happened at approximately 10:45 a.m. when the driver of the car was leaving a private driveway and pulled into the path of the northbound semi. The car struck the semi in the rear axle, destroying the wheel and tire. The Van Wert County Sheriff\u2019s Department, Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Van Wert Police Department and Ohio City Fire and EMS were at the scene, with OSHP taking the lead with the investigation.
