The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college\/university that the student will attend in the fall of the year 2012 and will be used for tuition.<\/p>\n<p>The YWCA celebrates young women leaders and hopes to encourage positive, Christian character through this scholarship. Applicants must be senior girls who attend a Van Wert County high school or reside within the county.\u00a0 The applicant must also display good morals, be an active church member, volunteer in a community organization and display leadership and Christian character in their daily life. Applications are available through all Van Wert County high school guidance offices, as well as at the front desk of the YWCA. All applications are due by April 13.<\/p>\n<p>The YWCA is a United Way and Van Wert County Foundation funded agency.
