Quidditch, a sport brought to Crestview by Brodie Tumbleson, has been gaining momentum as teachers have started asking to either coach or play for the different teams. The boys’ and girls’ basketball teams look to finish out their seasons strong and springboard into their respective tournaments.

FFA members enjoyed several activities this week to celebrate their organization. Some included corn hole, dirt pudding, breakfast, drive your tractor to school day, and a chili cook off. The halls of Crestview are always lively during FFA week.

The quidditch teams have been practicing a few times now and have already gained interest from many of the school’s students. Now though, a few teachers have become interested. Dan Kline, has shown his interest and has even asked to either play or just to coach a team. The first game will be played in the coming weeks though a date has yet to be set.

The boys’ basketball team, currently 14-5, has had a great season and is the number one seed in their bracket. They will play the winner of Temple Christian and Lincolnview on March 2 at 6:15 pm. They have worked really hard to get to this point and are proud of this accomplishment. When asked how the Knights were preparing for tournament senior Dallis Gibson said, “We have not really done anything different. We don’t really think of it. We just look forward to the next game and focus on that.” Later Dallis

Senior Danica Hicks runs through the student tunnel before the start of the game. Though the Knights start four seniors, the younger players play a big role for the team. Damian Helm, Cameron Etzler, and Josh Ream have been a great boost to the team by adding size, shooting, and speed.

The girls’ team is currently in the number two spot of the NWC standings. With tournament so close the girls are working harder than ever to ensure a far run into the tournament. Under Coach Greg Rickard, the girls’ basketball program has known much success and with all of the young talent that this team has, it will be only a matter of time they will be unstoppable. The girls play their first tournament game on February 24. Come out and support the girls as they carry out Crestview’s tradition of excellence.
