{"id":210527,"date":"2026-09-25T23:20:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-26T04:20:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=210527"},"modified":"2026-09-25T23:20:21","modified_gmt":"2026-09-26T04:20:21","slug":"inflated-generic-drug-price-claims-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2026\/09\/25\/inflated-generic-drug-price-claims-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Inflated generic drug price claims open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COLUMBUS &#8212; Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson is urging Ohioans to check their eligibility for compensation from settlements reached with generic-drug manufacturers accused of conspiring to inflate generic-drug prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you paid too much for certain generic drugs, you may be entitled to money back,\u201d said Wilson. \u201cCheck your eligibility and get what you\u2019re owed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wilson\u2019s suggestion follows approval this month by the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut of a preliminary plan devised by 48 attorneys general to distribute $96.5 million in settlement funds paid by the manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The settlement payments came from Glenmark, Lannett, Bausch, Apotex, Heritage and Emcure, Heritage&#8217;s parent company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consumers who purchased certain generic drugs between May 2009 and December 2019 may be eligible for compensation.
