On September 27, 1956, she married Donald \u201cDucky\u201d Highwarden, who preceded her in death on April 20, 2002.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include three sons, Charles (Darla) Highwarden of Ayersville and Donald (Gloria) Highwarden and Michael Highward, both of Paulding; three daughters, Joni Hernandez and Denise (Mike) Friese, both of Paulding, and Nicole (Miguel) Cruz of Defiance; two brothers, Tom Hook of Payne and Al Hook of Antwerp; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>A daughter, Donna; a sister, Dorita Lynch; an infant brother and one grandson also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with Pastor Phyllis Baxter officiating.
