HICKSVILLE — The Lincolnview Lancer baseball team lost 9-6 to Hicksville in non-conference action on Monday.<\/p>\n
The Lancers scored first in the top of the second inning, but the Aces added a run in the bottom of the inning to tie it up at 1 run apiece.<\/p>\n
Hicksville exploded for five runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 6-1 lead, and the Lancers scored two runs in the top of the fourth to trail by three, 6-3.<\/p>\n
Lincolnview tied the game at 6-all with three more runs in the top of the fifth inning, but the Aces added a run in their half of the inning for a 7-6 lead and scored two more insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth for the final score.<\/p>\n
The Lancers had 12 hits in the game, versus 16 for Hicksville, while both teams had two errors.<\/p>\n
Dalton Kayser had three RBI for Lincolnview, while Nick Leeth and Mike Klausing also had runs batted in. Leeth, Kyle Williams, Brady Niese and Klausing had doubles in the game.<\/p>\n
