Hammons, 50, of Van Wert, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_22919\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-22919\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Randall-Hammons-obit-photo-4-2012.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-22919 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Randall-Hammons-obit-photo-4-2012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"369\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-22919\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Randall L. Hammons<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He was born November 24, 1961, in Van Wert, the son of L. DeWayne Hammons, who survives in Van Wert, and Peggy F. (Fleenor) Hammons, who also survives in Van Wert.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Hammons was a CNC machinist at Eaton Corporation in Van Wert, with more than 25 years of service. He was a member of American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his parents, survivors include two sons, Kyle L. Hammons and A.J. (Megan) Hammons, both of Van Wert; and two grandchildren, Conner and Ryan Hammons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home &amp; Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calling hours are from 5-9 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the funeral home.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preferred memorials: Donor\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n<p>Messages of condolence may be sent to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alspachgearhart.com\">www.alspachgearhart.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Randall L.
