{"id":23014,"date":"2012-04-11T07:02:04","date_gmt":"2012-04-11T12:02:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=23014"},"modified":"2012-04-11T07:27:15","modified_gmt":"2012-04-11T12:27:15","slug":"vwms-track-teams-win-parkway-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2012\/04\/11\/vwms-track-teams-win-parkway-meet\/","title":{"rendered":"VWMS track teams win Parkway meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Van Wert independent sports<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ROCKFORD &#8212; Both the Van Wert Middle School boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 track teams claimed the championship trophy at the seven-team Parkway Invitational on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Each squad had four first-place finishes.<\/p>\n<p>First-place finishes for the girls included: Landrie Koontz (100-meter hurdles) and all three relay teams; Dominique Grothouse, Larissa Laudick, Hannah Mengerink, and Aimee Nicolai (in both the 4&#215;100 and 4&#215;200 relays), and the 4&#215;400 relay team of Grothouse, Peyton Fleming, LeAndryce Miller, and Emma Kohn.<\/p>\n<p>Other scorers were Morgan Lahmon (shot and discus), Alicia Danylchuk (long jump, 100 and 200), Miller (high jump and 800), Kohn (200 and 400), Koontz (200 hurdles), Fleming (100 and 200 hurdles), Morgan Bracken (1600) and Natalie Riethman (1600).<\/p>\n<p>The boy results found Drew Myers placing first and setting a new meet record in the shot put, Tymon Moore (first in 200 hurdles), Dylan Tumbleson (first in pole vault), and the 4&#215;200 relay team of Jayden Thomas, Zach Lovett, Colin Smith, and Tumbleson earning first place.<\/p>\n<p>Other scorers were Myers (discus and high jump), Andrew Perry (discus), Wyat May (pole vault), Moore (100 and 200), Jacob Crisenbery (110 hurdles), Jeremy Gunsett (200 hurdles), Cade Fleming (1600 and 800), Jared Shaffer (1600), the 4&#215;100 relay team of Thomas, Lovett, Smith, and Tumbleson, and the 4&#215;400 relay team of Smith, Fleming, Crisenbery, and Davis Munroe.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_23015\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23015\" style=\"width: 545px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/VWMS-track-teams-4-2012.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-23015\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/VWMS-track-teams-4-2012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"545\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23015\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">VWMS boys&#039; and girls&#039; track teams.
