(photo by Ken Myers for the Van Wert independent)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>HAVILAND &#8212; The Lincolnview varsity track teams competed in the Wayne Trace Invitational on Friday night. \u00a0Both teams had a solid evening competing in their first invitational of the season. \u00a0The boys took home the third place trophy and the girls finished fourth as a team.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was very excited to see the kids compete so hard tonight,\u201d said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. \u201cThey did such a great job in all areas of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of their focus and effort, we were able to have a lot of fun and see a large number of season and career bests,\u201d Coach Langdon added. \u201cThe kids competed the right way from the very beginning and kept up that attitude until the last event of the night.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scoring in the meet for the boys:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Austin Treesh\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1st \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0long jump\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 20&#8242;
