(VW independent file photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Van Wert High School senior forward Alex Morrow has verbally committed to play her college basketball at NCAA Division II Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.<\/p>\n<p>LSSU is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, one of the premier Division II basketball conferences in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>The 6-1 Morrow was the Lady Cougars\u2019 leading scorer and rebounder for the past two years, scoring an average of 12 points and grabbing 9 rebounds per game this past season in leading the Van Wert girls to a 13-9 record.<\/p>\n<p>Morrow chose LSSU due to its rich women\u2019s basketball tradition and an outstanding nursing program.<\/p>\n<p>She is the daughter of Diana and Mike Morrow of Van Wert, and the granddaughter of Kalida boys\u2019 basketball coaching legend Dick Kortokrax.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Information submitted Van Wert High School senior forward Alex Morrow has verbally committed to play her college basketball at NCAA Division II Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste.
