(Photo submitted.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Once again, Lincolnview is participating in Relay for Life by holding their own Mini-Relay to raise money and awareness for the fight against cancer. The Mini-Relay will be held on Friday, April 20. Fundraising activities are going on this week with all donations going to the American Cancer Society. In order to participate in the daily themes, students have been asked to donate $1. There is also a \u201cSuperheroes for Survivors\u201d contest. The teacher of the classroom that earns the most money will dress as a superhero for our all school assembly on Friday.\u00a0 Students can bring money in and donate it to the teacher they would like to see dress as a superhero.<\/p>\n<p>Daily events include:<br \/>\nMonday: Physical fitness day \u2013 students can come to school dressed in their favorite sports or activity attire (team, sport, dance, etc.);<br \/>\nTuesday: Sock it to Cancer \u2013 wear crazy socks to school;<br \/>\nWednesday: Turn your Back on Tobacco \u2013 wear your clothes backwards to school;<br \/>\nThursday: Shade Out Cancer \u2013 students can wear a hat and\/or sunglasses to school;<br \/>\nFriday: Mini-Relay \u2013 wear Lincolnview colors to show your support in the fight against cancer.<br \/>\nThe Lancer Mini-Relay walking schedule for April 20\u00a0is: 9-10 a.m. \u2013 second and seventh\u00a0grades and freshman; 10-11 a.m. \u2013 <span>third<\/span> grade and seniors; 11 a.m.-noon \u00a0\u2013 <span>fourth <\/span>and sixth\u00a0grades and sophomores; noon-1 p.m. \u2013 kindergarten, <span>first<\/span> grade and eighth\u00a0grade; and 1-2 p.m. \u2013 <span>fifth<\/span> grade and juniors.
