The Spelling Bee is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, February 10, at The Marsh Foundation School Auditorium.<\/p>\n<p>Thirteen contestants representing eight Van Wert county schools in grades 4-8 will compete for the honor of representing the county at the Journal-Gazette Regional Spelling Bee in Fort Wayne, Indiana in March.<\/p>\n<p>Individual school champions are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Crestview Elementary \u2013 Amber Lichtenberger, Grade 5; Cora Millay, Grade 6<\/li>\n<li>Crestview Junior High \u2013 Hannah Bowen, Grade 7; Corban Grubb, Grade 8<\/li>\n<li>S.F. Goedde School \u2013 Samantha Shartzer, Grade 5<\/li>\n<li>Lincolnview Elementary \u2013 Frankie Carey, Grade 5; Katelyn Wendel, Grade 6<\/li>\n<li>Lincolnview Junior High \u2013 Derek Youtsey, Grade 7; Madie Enyart, Grade 8<\/li>\n<li>Lincolnview Marsh School \u2013 Jennifer Schrecengost, Grade 8<\/li>\n<li>St. Mary&#8217;s Elementary \u2013 Alisha Terhark, grade 4<\/li>\n<li>Van Wert Middle School \u2013 Nick Motycka, Grade 6; Chris Kraner, Grade 7, Korbin Schalois, grade 8<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dr. Robert Scheidt of Van Wert is the pronouncer for the Spelling Bee, while judges for the contest are Crestview Elementary Principal Kathy Mollenkopf, Lincolnview Elementary Principals Gordon Stemen, and Van Wert Middle School\/Goedde Building Principal Mark Bagley. Lincolnview Marsh Principal Roger Salisbury is in charge of the physical set-up of the competition<\/p>\n<p>Van Wert Federal Savings Bank is sponsoring the awards for the event.
