{"id":23532,"date":"2012-04-25T00:16:49","date_gmt":"2012-04-25T05:16:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=23532"},"modified":"2012-04-25T00:16:49","modified_gmt":"2012-04-25T05:16:49","slug":"tickets-still-available-for-united-way-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2012\/04\/25\/tickets-still-available-for-united-way-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Tickets still available for United Way event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>United Way information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tickets are still available for the United Way Cinco de Mayo fundraising event on Friday, May 4, at Willow Bend Country Club.\u00a0\u00a0Several corporate tables have been purchased but there are still a few available for $250, while individual tickets are $25 apiece.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/United-Way-Van-Wert-County-logo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-17650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/United-Way-Van-Wert-County-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"122\" \/><\/a>The ticket price includes a Mexican buffet and two drinks, a choice of either margaritas or Mexican beer.\u00a0 Ticket purchasers do not need to be a member of Willow Bend to attend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany businesses have donated door prizes and raffle items for the evening,\u201d said Committee Chair Lisa Lawson of Citizens National Bank. \u201cWe have some really nice items that people can purchase raffle tickets for and we will also have a silent auction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited for this event,\u201d Lawson added. \u201cIt is the first one that we know of celebrating Cinco de Mayo, even though it is a day before on May 4.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of the big items up for raffle is a frozen Margarita machine, which has a retail value of $329.
