On Thursday, Ringwald changed his plea to guilty on a charge of possession of heroin and requested treatment in lieu of conviction. Judge Charles D. Steele granted the motion and placed him on community control for a year while he is undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Jerry Dominique, 47, of Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by failing to report to his probation officer and for testing positive for heroin use.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Steele sentenced him to serve a previously deferred 12-month prison term, while also giving him credit for 97 days already served.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Van Wert independent Two people were in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court on Thursday for hearings.
