Thatcher to serve in the position of assistant county engineer under current County Engineer Kyle J. Wendel.<\/p>\n<p>Thatcher is a 2007 graduate of Lincolnview High School, and a 2012 graduate of Ohio Northern University <em>(cum laude)<\/em> in Ada, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in the civil engineering program.\u00a0 While at ONU, he was a four-year player on the rugby team.<\/p>\n<p>Thatcher will be assuming land development and design responsibilities, as well as project coordination and surveying duties.<\/p>\n<p>The new assistant county engineer is the son of Kevin Thatcher and Joanne Thatcher, and is a native of Hoaglin Township.
