{"id":25081,"date":"2012-06-02T05:53:49","date_gmt":"2012-06-02T10:53:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=25081"},"modified":"2012-06-02T05:53:49","modified_gmt":"2012-06-02T10:53:49","slug":"dare-fishing-derby-dates-scheduled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2012\/06\/02\/dare-fishing-derby-dates-scheduled\/","title":{"rendered":"DARE Fishing Derby dates scheduled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>DARE information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>MIDDLE POINT &#8212; The seventh bi-annual DARE Fishing Derby will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 9-10, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Middle Point Quarry.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/DARE-logo-4-2012.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23490\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/DARE-logo-4-2012.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"158\" \/><\/a>The cost for adults 18 years and older is $50 for both days and $30 for one day; for youths under the age of 18 the cost is $25 for both days and $15 for one day. There will be $50 in prize money for the largest fish by weight and total weight of five fish each day.<\/p>\n<p>Fishing is from boats only and only trolling motors can be used at the quarry. This is one of DARE&#8217;s yearly fundraisers, with the proceeds going to purchase supplies for\u00a0the coming school year.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Keith Allen would like to thank all those who have supported this fundraiser in the past.
