{"id":25198,"date":"2012-06-06T00:02:55","date_gmt":"2012-06-06T05:02:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=25198"},"modified":"2012-06-06T00:02:55","modified_gmt":"2012-06-06T05:02:55","slug":"cview-students-earn-ccf-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2012\/06\/06\/cview-students-earn-ccf-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"C&#8217;view students earn CCF scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Information submitted<\/em><\/p>\n<p>CONVOY &#8212; The Convoy Community Foundation presented its annual scholarships at the recently held Crestview Junior High\/High School Awards Night.<\/p>\n<p>Elaina Winhover received the Elizabeth Freck Teaching Scholarship of $1,000; Matt Holden, the Aaron and Francile Sutton Scholarship of $1,000; and Layne Callow, the Stahl-Stoller-Meyer Scholarship of $750.<\/p>\n<p>Other scholarship recipients were: Dallis Gibson, Gerald Etzler Vocational Award, $500; Elizabeth Callow, Convoy Community Foundation Community Service recognition, $500; and Brook Nofer, the $250 Ed Hurless Above and Beyond Award.<\/p>\n<p>The Convoy Community Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization founded in 1979 to promote and undertake charitable activities for the benefit of individuals and communities in the Crestview community.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 30 years, the Foundation has sponsored health care and housing facilities, classroom projects, community libraries, student scholarships, youth groups and local parks.
