His brother is in jail, charged with stabbing him.<\/p>\n<p>The Van Wert Police Department received a call from Caleb S. Mech, who reported that his brother, 22-year-old Isaac Mech, had been stabbed behind CJ Sidepockets on North Washington Street. Both men are living at 510\u00bd Gordon Ave.<\/p>\n<p>The Van Wert Fire Department EMS squad responded to the scene with police and provided emergency treatment to the victim, who had been stabbed in the neck.<\/p>\n<p>He was then taken to Van Wert County Hospital and later life-flighted to Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind., where he remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, city detectives interviewed Caleb Mech and the 26-year-old later confessed to stabbing his brother.
