ROCKY McVAIGH\/<\/strong>for the Van Wert independent<\/em><\/p>\n

The Van Wert Marlins participated in two swimming meets this past week<\/p>\n

The Marlins first hosted Ada-Lost Creek on June 18 at the Van Wert YMCA.<\/p>\n

Sam Easley continued his dominance in 13-14 boys\u2019 competition by sweeping five events.\u00a0 In 9-10 girls\u2019 action, Katie McVaigh won all three of her individual events, as did Erin Miller in her three individual 11-12 girls\u2019 events. McKenzie Agler also won first in all five of her individual 15 & Over girls\u2019 events.<\/p>\n

Also scoring first place finishes were: Tyra McClain (1), Kayla Krites (1), Emma Pollock (1), Jamie Burenga (1), Risa Pollock (1), Aaron Stant (3), Alek Bowersock (1), Eric Easley (2) and Evan Stant (1).\u00a0 The 9-10 Girls 200 freestyle relay team placed first (Jamie Burenga, Sydney Yoder, Emma Pollock, Katie McVaigh).<\/p>\n

On June 21, the Marlins traveled to Kenton to swim at Hardin County Community Pool. Emma Pollock swept all five of her girls\u2019 9-10 individual events, while Sam Easley again swept five individual events.\u00a0 Also bringing home first place finishes were: Anneliese Marecic (1), Erin Miller (1), Aaron Stant (1) and Brendan Marecic (3).<\/p>\n
