Galen E. Gamble, 92, of Van Wert, died at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Van Wert Manor.<\/p>\n
He was born January 1, 1920, in Van Wert, the son of the late Eugene S. and Lela (Morris) Gamble. He first married Virginia (Taylor) Gamble, who preceded him in death in 1979. He then married Pauline (Keysor) Kundert Gamble, who survives in Van Wert.<\/p>\n
Other survivors include two daughters, Gayetta (James) Hogan of Celina and Barbara Anderson of Clemmons, N.C.; two stepchildren, Kenneth A. (Connie) Kundert of Wetzel and Shirley (Dick) Bolton of Elgin; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
A brother, Richard Gamble, also preceded him in death.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11, at St. Mark\u2019s Lutheran Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Will Haggis officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.<\/strong><\/p>\n Calling hours are from 3-8 p.m.\u00a0 Friday, August 10, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.<\/strong><\/p>\n Preferred memorials: St. Mark\u2019s Lutheran Church or a charity of donor\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n
