\"\"<\/a>Van Wert residents John Marshall and Therese Jacobs-Marshall will renew their 1990 wedding vows during the upcoming Van Wert Hot Air Festival\u00a0at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. \u00a0When Therese heard the famous Van Wert Hot Air Affair of the past was to return\u00a0in 2012 as the Hot Air Festival, she told John she had decided on her anniversary and birthday gifts. The couple will renew their wedding vows\u00a0in a hot air balloon at the festival on September 8, her birthday!<\/p>\n

Hot Air Festival organizer Jerry Mazur promptly offered\u00a0a tethered balloon to the Marshalls and\u00a0proclaimed this “hot air affair” an official event of the festival. Mazur knows the Marshalls are well known in the Van Wert area, stating: “if John doesn’t draw them in on his fame alone, the grandstand will be packed as everyone will want to witness this event, and to see what Therese is wearing.”<\/p>\n

The Marshalls will be going up in a hot air balloon on Saturday, September 8, starting at 4:30 p.m., at the\u00a0county fairgrounds,\u00a0in an area behind the main grandstand at the tethered balloon area. \u00a0Therese has been busy deciding on her attire, but isn’t saying what she is wearing. \u00a0She just said, “Come on out to the Fairgrounds and see for yourself!”<\/p>\n

The Hot Air Festival runs Friday, September 7; Saturday, September 8; and Sunday, September 9,\u00a0the weekend after the Van Wert County Fair. \u00a0There also will be\u00a0aviation events at the Van Wert Airport during the Hot Air Festival.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights of the Festival, besides the hot air balloons, will be the NASCAR automobiles on display courtesy of Roush Fenway Racing. \u00a0There also will be a\u00a03M NASCAR simulator to let you feel what it is like to barrel around a NASCAR track! \u00a0There will be an adult beverage area and a VIP Sponsor Pavilion at the Fairgrounds. \u00a0There are many family activities for children during the Festival.\u00a0Visit the Festival’s website at vanwerthotairfestival.com<\/a> to view a complete schedule of events, balloon pilot bios, grandstand main events for Friday and Saturday evening, and to reserve a balloon ride for the family!<\/p>\n
