Betty Jean Mottinger, 78, of Ohio City, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.<\/p>\n
She was born December 30, 1933, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Francis and Vivian P. Anderson. On March 19, 1955, she married Richard C. Mottinger, who survives.<\/p>\n
Other survivors include two sons, Richard E. \u201cDick\u201d Mottinger of Ohio City and David Lee Mottinger of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Nancy K. Brown of Van Wert; one brother, James (Helen) Anderson of Van Wert; a sister, Janice Roesner of Bellefontaine; one sister-in-law, Shirley Partin of Van Wert; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
A daughter, Donna J. Kiracofe (1973); one brother, Dean Anderson; and a sister, Barbara Anderson Bowman, also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, September 10, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Anthony Perry officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.<\/strong><\/p>\n Calling hours are from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, September 9, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.<\/strong><\/p>\n Preferred memorials: Kingsley United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.<\/p>\n
