The Oak Ridge Boys are nearly sold out and the Lennon Sisters are right on The Oaks heels. \u00a0Many others are selling quickly and it looks like it will be another very successful and exciting season. \u00a0Catch the excitement because remember- \u201cYou can see the stars at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.\u201d<\/p>\n

While at the NPAC concerts this weekend and during the fall, take some time to visit the upstairs lobby where our Visual Arts Committee has created a display of many of the artists who have visited the NPAC over the past five years. \u00a0It\u2019s quite interesting to read some of their comments about their experience of performing at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert. \u00a0We appreciate the work of the Visual Arts Committee and thank them for their ongoing volunteer work at the NPAC.<\/p>\n
As I write this column, we recognize that it is the 11th anniversary of 9\/11. \u00a0Just as those who lived through the days and remember the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, many of us remember September 11, 2001. \u00a0The only celebration we should have is that our country has remained strong and united even though enemies tried to destroy us as a nation.<\/p>\n
Eleven years ago as our nation was mourning, it was the voice of an Irishman who helped give hope to so many as he sang at the 9\/11 Memorial Service. \u00a0His name was Ronan Tynan, a man who found new hope and opportunity in a country he loves and has adopted as his home. \u00a0The soaring and soothing voice of this Irish tenor singing “Danny Boy” and “Amazing Grace” brought tears of healing to those who lost loved ones and to a nation in shock. \u00a0This same voice will now echo forever in the halls of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert. \u00a0Don\u2019t miss it.<\/p>\n
