{"id":28918,"date":"2012-09-17T05:08:56","date_gmt":"2012-09-17T10:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=28918"},"modified":"2012-09-17T05:08:56","modified_gmt":"2012-09-17T10:08:56","slug":"lancer-boys-2nd-at-o-g-cc-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2012\/09\/17\/lancer-boys-2nd-at-o-g-cc-meet\/","title":{"rendered":"Lancer boys 2nd at O-G CC meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Lincolnview cross country information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>OTTAWA &#8212; The Lincolnview cross country teams competed at the Ottawa-Glandorf Blue\/Gold Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The boys\u2019 team placed second behind St Henry.\u00a0Leading the Lancer varsity team was Bayley Tow, who finished in sixth place finish in a time of 16:55.\u00a0 He was followed by three teammates who all placed in the top 20 of the race: Jeff Jacomet (12th)\u00a017:30, Ben Bilimek (13th) 17:31, and Alex Rodriguez (20th) 17:49.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the top five scoring was Skyler Whitaker (30th) 18:15, while Trevor Neate and Travis Lippi placed 40th and 44th, respectively, to finish out the varsity scoring.<\/p>\n<p>On the girls\u2019 side, Anna Gorman placed 18th in a time of 21:50 and Taylor Miller placed 32nd in a time of 22:32.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe kids took full advantage of the fast course and perfect weather conditions,\u201d said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. \u201cEvery single Lancer ran a season best today, and many ran career bests.\u00a0 It was a fun day and a great way to begin this next phase of our season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe still have some work to do, but I really like the attitude and approach that the kids are taking,\u201d Coach Langdon added. \u201cAnd because of their hard work, they were able to enjoy the results today.\u00a0 We are looking forward to running close to home this coming weekend at the Van Wert Invitational.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lincolnview cross country information OTTAWA &#8212; The Lincolnview cross country teams competed at the Ottawa-Glandorf Blue\/Gold Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
