Ardlen, 71, of Haviland, died at 3:22 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2011, in Haviland.<\/p>\n<p>He was born December 12, 1939, in Warren, the son of the late Thomas and Kathryn (Schaff) Ardlen.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include a daughter, Krista Gray of Defiance; and three grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>A sister, Anna Mae Harris, also preceded him in death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, February 18, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home &amp; Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery in rural Paulding County.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Calling hours are from 10 a.m.-noon on Friday at the funeral home.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preferred memorials: American Diabetes Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alspachgearhart.com\">www.alspachgearhart.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roger E.
