(Elks photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Students are nominated by their high schools to receive this award.\u00a0 Each Student\/Volunteer of the Month receives a monetary donation along with a certificate from the Van Wert Elks Lodge 1197, with the possibility to be named the Student\/Volunteer of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Many students do community work, which is a requirement to graduate.
