The second public workshop of the downtown planning study will be this Wednesday, December 12, at 5:30 p.m., at The Hotel Marsh on East Main Street. The workshop will summarize the design input from the last meeting and focus on the economics and business mix of downtown Van Wert.<\/p>\n<p>This is a community workshop as part of the downtown plan currently underway. Poggemeyer Design Group, Main Street Van Wert, and the City of Van Wert are working together to collect business and community input in order to set goals and develop a roadmap for downtown development.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop is open to the public, with business owners and community residents encouraged to attend and participate. These studies and the resulting downtown plan are funded through a Tier 1 planning grant the city received earlier this year from the Ohio Department of Development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MSVW information What businesses would you like to see downtown?
