Van Wert swimming information<\/em><\/p>\n

WAPAKONETA — The Van Wert High School boys and girls swim teams traveled to the Wapakoneta YMCA to compete with Lima Central Catholic and Wapakoneta. The meet was scored as a double dual.<\/p>\n

The Cougar boys defeated LCC 61-25, but lost to Wapakoneta 31-60, while the Cougar girls were defeated by both Wapakoneta (24-67) and LCC (27-64).<\/p>\n

The only Van Wert swimmer with an individual first-place finish against both teams was Eric Easley in the 100-yard breaststroke, although several other individual swimmers and relay teams also had first-place finishes against one of the competing teams.<\/p>\n

The team will compete next, at the Van Wert YMCA, on Tuesday, against Bryan.<\/p>\n
