{"id":33394,"date":"2013-01-07T02:30:17","date_gmt":"2013-01-07T07:30:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=33394"},"modified":"2013-01-07T02:38:28","modified_gmt":"2013-01-07T07:38:28","slug":"ymca-offering-new-kid-fit-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/01\/07\/ymca-offering-new-kid-fit-program\/","title":{"rendered":"YMCA offering new Kid Fit program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>YMCA information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The YMCA of Van Wert County is again offering Kid Fit, a new program for young athletes in the community.\u00a0 Through the Y\u2019s Wellness Department, Kid Fit is a sport based fitness program that will have kids in grades 4-7 participating in circuit training specific and safe for their age.\u00a0 Athletes this age can strength train safely using proper techniques, low weights or body weight for higher repetitions.<\/p>\n<p>A certified personal trainer will conduct all sessions where training focuses on techniques and form.\u00a0 This also includes an understanding of each muscle group. The speed and agility training focuses on safely developing explosive power and core stability in preparation for high school level competition.<\/p>\n<p>Starting January 14, sessions will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:45-4:30 p.m.\u00a0 Member prices are $50 per month.
