{"id":33441,"date":"2013-01-08T06:52:05","date_gmt":"2013-01-08T11:52:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=33441"},"modified":"2013-01-08T06:52:05","modified_gmt":"2013-01-08T11:52:05","slug":"five-county-farms-in-oda-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/01\/08\/five-county-farms-in-oda-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Five county farms in ODA program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>ODA information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>REYNOLDSBURG &#8212; Seventy-eight farms were designated as Ohio Century Farms in 2012 by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.\u00a0 Century farm status is awarded to families who have owned the same farm for at least 100 consecutive years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/logo_CenturyFarm_100w.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-33442\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/logo_CenturyFarm_100w.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"85\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>To commemorate this milestone, each family received a certificate signed by Governor John R. Kasich and the Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture to keep with their historic documents and pass down to future generations.<\/p>\n<p>First-ever registrations occurred in Athens, Noble, and Pike Counties in 2012.
