{"id":34378,"date":"2013-01-31T01:58:27","date_gmt":"2013-01-31T06:58:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=34378"},"modified":"2013-01-31T01:58:27","modified_gmt":"2013-01-31T06:58:27","slug":"council-sets-special-meeting-on-levy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/01\/31\/council-sets-special-meeting-on-levy\/","title":{"rendered":"Council sets special meeting on levy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>VW City Council news<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A special meeting of Van Wert City Council is being scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday,\u00a0February 1.\u00a0 A meeting of the Parks and Recreation Committee is also being scheduled\u00a0to begin at 4:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the committee meeting is to review and discuss the ballot language contained in the recently enacted Resolution 12-12-076.\u00a0Resolution 12-12-076 declares it necessary to levy a tax in excess of the 10-mill limitation in the amount of 1.2 mills.\u00a0\u00a0Proceeds from the levy would fund construction of a new aquatic center in Van Wert.<\/p>\n<p>The special meeting of City Council is being scheduled to consider\u00a0decisions made by the\u00a0committee affecting the resolution.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0committee and special meetings are being held in Council Chambers, located on the second floor of the Municipal Building, 515 E.
