This compares with the national average that has increased 14.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.48 a gallon, according to gasoline price website <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"MGN Online graphic\" rel=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-28382\" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>Including the change in gas prices in Ohio during the past week, prices Sunday were 5.8 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 29.7 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 21.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 4.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The national average has ticked higher in the last week, as rising oil prices have put upward pressure on gasoline prices,&#8221; said <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a> Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. &#8220;Unfortunately for angry motorists, there doesn&#8217;t seem to be much relief in sight, at least for the time being, as retail prices continue to climb in virtually all areas of the country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About GasBuddy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GasBuddy operates <a href=\"http:\/\/ohiogasprices.com\/\">OhioGasPrices.com<\/a> and over 250 similar websites that track gasoline prices at over 140,000 gasoline stations in the United States and Canada.
