Roger Lawrence Kimmet, 66, of Van Wert, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at St. Rita\u2019s Medical Center in Lima.<\/p>\n
He was born in Lima, the son of the late Lawrence and Bertha (Beining) Kimmet. On May 1, 1971, he was united in marriage with Jan (McCaslin) Kimmet, who survives him in Van Wert.<\/p>\n
Roger worked at Aeroquip Corporation in customer service for 17 years and also worked in IRA accounts at First Financial Bank for five years. He weas a member of Van Wert Lions Club and is a former member of the Van Wert City Pool Board and Knights of Columbus Lodge 6034.<\/p>\n
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Bryan Kimmet of Kettering, Nichole (Trevor) Miller of Van Wert, Kristy (Jason) Rager of Crown Point, Ind., and Nathan (Becky) Kimmet of Van Wert; nine grandchildren, Cassie Hale of Middle Point, Dustin Hale of Van Wert, Elizabeth Rager, Carlton Rager, Davison Rager, Claire Rager and Ashton Rager, all of Crown Point, and Brenna and Elise Kimmet of Van Wert; and three siblings, Patricia Williams of Lima, Gary (Pamela) Kimmet of Rochester, N.Y., and Dan (Cindy) Kimmet of Sylvania.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 9, at Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Clark Williman officiating.
