Out of 14 teams, the Cougar boys placed fourth, with the girls finishing in fifth place.<\/p>\n<p>Teams competing at the Ayersville Sectional were Ayersville, Bloomdale Elmwood, Bowling Green, Celina, Coldwater, Defiance, Evergreen, Fort Recovery, Ottawa-Glandorf, Pemberville Eastwood, St. Henry, Toledo Christian, Van Wert and Whitehouse Anthony Wayne.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Easley was the sectional champion in the 100-yard backstroke, while Kase Schalois won the 1-meter diving title, and Rebecca Johnson finished first in the 200-yard individual medley race.<\/p>\n<p>Head Coach Kim Clifton noted that the Cougars had a strong presence at the sectional and there were many personal records set at the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The VWHS swim team will travel to Bowling Green State University on Friday, February 15, for the Division II OHSAA District Tournament.
