The preschoolers collected $386. This money will be given to the Toledo Chapter of March of Dimes, and is an FCCLA national project. Before the walk FCCLA members Ashley Guelde, Abby Hosler, and Lindsay Ruposky talked to the children about premature babies compared to full term babies, and that the March of Dimes created the NICU (prenatal nursery) where the infants get special care for their first few weeks of life. The group raised a total of $732 from a jeans day and the walk. This is a part of the FCCLA Chapter Service Manual project in which students will be competing at the regional FCCLA contest being held at Vantage Career Center on March 2.
