This compares with the national average, which has increased 2.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.72 a gallon, according to gasoline price website <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"MGN Online graphic\" rel=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-28382\" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>Including the change in gas prices in Ohio during the past week, prices Sunday were 2.5 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and 28.7 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 42.0 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 9.1 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The streak is over,&#8221; said <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a> Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan, noting that GasBuddy data showed the national average rising for 32 consecutive days, starting January 20 at $3.265 per gallon, and ending February 21 at $3.733 a gallon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe tide has now turned and the national average has dropped two days straight,\u201d DeHaan added. \u201cThis is certainly excellent news for disillusioned motorists, but I would caution them not to get overly thrilled as prices may linger near these levels for some time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About GasBuddy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GasBuddy operates <a href=\"http:\/\/ohiogasprices.com\/\">OhioGasPrices.com<\/a> and over 250 similar websites that track gasoline prices at over 140,000 gasoline stations in the United States and Canada.
