On February 23, the YMCA Marlins hosted the Putnam County YMCA in their last regular season meet. The Marlins came away with a win, narrowly defeating the visitors 475-464.<\/p>\n

Leading the way for the Marlins was Sam Easley, who swept all five of his events.\u00a0 There was a group of four swimmers (Tyra McClain, Emma Pollock, Katie McVaigh and Aaron Stant) who finished first four times and second once.<\/p>\n

Also earning first place finishes were Gracie Mull (1); Luke Miller (3); Jamie Burenga (1); Daniel Miller (3); Ian Rex (1); Risa Pollock (2); Dylan Neate (2); Skylar Lehman (1) and Colton Deschner (2).<\/p>\n

This coming Saturday, Van Wert will compete in the Northwest Ohio YMCA Sectionals at Marion. Those who qualify at Marion will then move onto the Northwest Ohio Championships at Fremont on March 9.<\/p>\n
