{"id":35715,"date":"2013-03-06T04:56:58","date_gmt":"2013-03-06T09:56:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=35715"},"modified":"2013-03-06T04:59:24","modified_gmt":"2013-03-06T09:59:24","slug":"where-does-npac-audience-come-from","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/03\/06\/where-does-npac-audience-come-from\/","title":{"rendered":"Where does NPAC audience come from?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have been researching some statistics about ticket buyers of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio.\u00a0 It\u2019s interesting to see where everyone comes from to find cultural enrichment and entertainment.\u00a0 One of the advantages of having a good ticketing system is the amount of information it gathers and delivers on ticket buyers.\u00a0 As the NPAC has grown over the past six years, so has our ticketing system.\u00a0 It offers many new features that become valuable resources for performing arts centers.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few questions for you to ponder.\u00a0 How many counties in Ohio are represented by NPAC ticket buyers?\u00a0 How many counties in our neighboring state of Indiana?\u00a0 You would assume that most of Van Wert County has been to the NPAC.\u00a0 Exactly how many?\u00a0 How many towns (zip codes) are represented?\u00a0 These are questions we have been researching and have found answers to.\u00a0 This helps us determine where we should spend our marketing dollars in the future.\u00a0 By the way, I will give these answers to you in a later news release.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35718\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35718\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Bowfire-promo-photo-3-2013.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35718 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Bowfire-promo-photo-3-2013.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"234\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35718\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bowfire performs on stage. (photo submitted)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Of course, certain concerts and events have an appeal to certain audiences.\u00a0 However, I do feel that people should be more open to different kinds of entertainment.\u00a0 Some concerts are written off in people\u2019s minds before they give it a chance.\u00a0 The American Spiritual Ensemble is a perfect example of what I am talking about.\u00a0 I just got back in the office from a walk down Main Street and a lady stopped me and told me how much she enjoyed the ASE.\u00a0 She exclaimed, \u201cThey Rock!\u201d\u00a0 Now I doubt many would have thought of that when they imagined a Spiritual Ensemble or a chorus.\u00a0 But I say, give it a chance; you may find out many things \u201crock\u201d that you would never imagine.<\/p>\n<p>Variety certainly enters into most programming decisions we at the NPAC make.\u00a0 In this way, we feel we can certainly diversify our audience while also offering a diverse experience to those who attend many or all of our concerts.<\/p>\n<p>As we look at the remaining engagements we have coming to the NPAC through the remainder of this season, diversity is certainly well served.\u00a0 This Sunday afternoon (and it should be a splendid Spring afternoon!), we welcome an exciting and entertaining show filled with music of all styles, dancing and choreography. Bowfire is the \u201ctotal string sensation\u201d &#8230; virtuosity in the hands of masters.\u00a0 The hottest new show to hit the stage is quickly becoming a major international success.
