(Photo submitted.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Students at Lincolnview Local Schools engaged in valuable reading practice and took part in setting a new national record in \u201cRead The Most from Coast to Coast,\u201d on March 1. Students contributed to a new national record of 4,409,622 Accelerated Reader quizzes passed in one day. As part of this event, the Web-based program tracked quizzes passed nationwide and shared results in real time with an online quiz counter.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_35780\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-35780\" style=\"width: 335px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/faculty-breakfast_640x480.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35780 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/faculty-breakfast_640x480.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"335\" height=\"284\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-35780\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Faculty breakfast. (Photo submitted.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cRead the Most from Coast to Coast&#8221; enabled students to take part in a shared reading adventure while becoming better readers,\u201d said June Young, third grade teacher. \u201cSeeing real-time progress toward the goal was fun for students and they enjoyed being part of a national effort. They were really excited when they topped last year\u2019s quiz-taking record.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to all of our students who participated by taking a quiz on March 1. (Photo submitted.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Lincolnview FFA completed their FFA Week activities and surpassed their goal of collecting over $300 for Children\u2019s Hospital. With their activities for the week, 3-point shot, home run derby, Penny Stall during 4 periods, tie tying contest and faculty\/staff breakfast; they were able to donate $525 to the Children\u2019s Hospital.
